Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
As part of an ongoing evolution of our Corporate Services Directorate, we’ve recently established a new Corporate Planning, Governance and Assurance team, which brings together our professional functions supporting project delivery and assurance, planning and reporting, procurement, risk management and compliance. We’re now looking for a versatile, practical, values-driven person to lead it.
About the role
As Head of Corporate Planning, Governance and Assurance you will inspire, nurture and establish our new Corporate Planning, Governance and Assurance team. You will lead and evolve our planning and reporting activities, strengthen our internal governance, assurance and risk management arrangements, and enable excellent project and initiative development and delivery. Under your leadership, the team will oversee and operate our assurance processes, and provide practical direction, advice, support and tools across the charity.
To be successful in this role you will bring experience of leading, developing and integrating high-performing, effective and motivated multi-disciplinary teams, as well as an experience-based understanding of organisational governance, structures, and effective operational planning and processes. You will be a creative thinker and problem solver, with the ability to build relationships and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also demonstrate a strong personal commitment to Crisis’ purpose and values, including equality and social inclusion.
