Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
Our Enterprise & Innovation team leads the charity’s commercial work and accelerates an end to homelessness through delivery of its entrepreneurship and innovation activities. We work with partners across sectors, working together to end homelessness for good through driving income, supporter engagement and creating opportunities for people experiencing homelessness. Our e-commerce offer plays a key role in this and is a part of a multi-year, cross-organisational transformation programme with a vision to harness the power of data, digital and technology to help us end homelessness sooner.
Title: Head of e-Commerce
Salary: £54,889 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: London (working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ homeworking policy – minimum of one day a week in the office)
About the role
We are exploring new ways to diversify our income and are looking for a strategic thinker with high commercial acumen to lead the development of our organisational-wide e-commerce strategy. We have committed to an ambitious 5-year retail expansion plan which will see the growth of our physical and online retail portfolio. As well as maximising the potential of this investment this role will advise and support the growth of existing e-commerce activity including our Fundraising, Furniture and Hospitality teams and lead the exploration into new areas for Crisis to develop.
As Head of e-Commerce, you will have leadership and management experience in an e-commerce role – not necessarily within the charity sector. You will be an innovative thought leader looking to push boundaries and explore new opportunities to generate income. It is essential that you are a team player who is used to working in an agile working environment collaborating across functions. You will be a champion for the vision of maximising the potential of data, digital and technology to end homelessness.
